Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I know, it’s been a while (well it feels like it anyways). I hope you all haven’t missed me too much!
If you don’t follow me on instagram, you wouldn’t know that I have been In Italy for the past 10 days. Jacob and I were in much need of a holiday. It was fantastic weather for September (maybe even a bit too hot). Above are some pictures of our trip. Our favourite place by far was Portovenere.
Portovenere

I mean look at that! These pictures were taken by Jacob (of course). We visited the Cinque Terre (which translates to the five villages). It is quite literally five villages on the coast that are filled with beautifully colourful houses and surrounded by blue, clear water. It is stunning, but I must admit very touristy. We enjoyed Portovenere much more (above). We had the most amazing pesto pasta in a restaurant here. It was quite literally the best pesto I have ever tasted.
The food, of course, was amazing. I wish I took more pictures of the food for you all. I think I was just too hungry to take pictures (typical) . Here are some pictures of the food we ate – to be honest, we lived of pesto, cheese and coffee.

Jacob and I are water people. We love swimming, you know this. The water there was beautiful and warm! Which we all know would never happen here in Scotland. As always, this was a highlight of the holiday. We mainly spent our time trying to relax and certainly not doing any work – it was a rule. This can be hard for me. I love what I do, and I am so passionate about it. Jacob turned off his emails but I just couldn’t help myself. I suppose I am still waiting for a very exciting and scary email to come through. Cross your everything for me!
I hope I can make an entire blog post about that news (maybe next week). That will be life-changing.
For now, I am back to work, and ready to go! I love that about holidays. You really get a proper break from everything, and when you come home you are motivated and excited to get back into work. It really gives you the time you need to recoup and recover.
